Vehicle rental terms
Summary of the supplied vehicle rental agreement. Specific terms, insurance, rates, deposit and payment arrangements are confirmed before signing the rental contract.
01. Who may drive
The driver must be at least 21, have held a licence for at least two years and be named in the contract. Driving under the influence, racing, unauthorized border crossing, paid transportation, towing and illegal use are prohibited.
02. Pickup and return
Collect the vehicle in working order and return it at the agreed time and place in the same condition, except ordinary wear. Special cleaning may be charged.
03. Extension and early return
Give 48 hours' notice and sign a new agreement to extend the rental. Early return does not oblige the company to refund the unused rental period.
04. Mileage
Short-term rental includes unlimited mileage. Long-term mileage limits are set by contract.
05. Fuel
The contract requires a full tank at pickup and return. Missing fuel is charged according to the current price list.
06. Maintenance and breakdowns
Use and secure the car with due care. Notify the company promptly of breakdowns or required servicing; unauthorized repairs or replacements are prohibited.
07. Documents and keys
Lost documents, keys or plates may incur extra charges under the price list.
08. Insurance and damage
Vehicles have third-party liability insurance. Exclusions and police-reporting obligations are set out in the agreement; the renter may be liable for damage caused deliberately, negligently or in breach of contract.
09. Personal property and subletting
The contract limits the company's liability for personal belongings left in the car. Subletting requires written authorization.
10. Payment, fines and deposit
Under the supplied contract, payment and card pre-authorization apply unless the company authorizes otherwise. Contractual extras, traffic fines and parking charges are borne by the renter.
11. Vehicle inspection
The company reserves inspection and termination rights where the agreement is breached.
12. Personal data
The contract provides for processing personal data for the rental. Marketing use and retention of original documents require separate compliance review and appropriate consent.
13. Contract changes
Contract changes must be made in writing.
14. Off-road driving
Driving off paved roads, including gravel tracks, is prohibited. The supplied contract specifies an additional BAM 500 charge and liability for resulting damage.
15. Jurisdiction
The supplied contract specifies the competent court in Sarajevo for disputes.
16. Additional rules
The supplied agreement specifies a EUR 100 smoking charge and requires inspection of the vehicle at pickup.
